Using email marketing for your business is a vital part of staying connected and maintaining a relationship with your potential clients. They trusted you with their email address but if you lose that trust they may stop opening your email. Or when they do open your email, they will not buy.

I have some good news and some bad news... and more good news again! For quite a few years now we have been told - and for the most part sold on the idea - that a BIG 'List' of prospects for email marketing is like having your own personal ATM machine. The good news is that this is true.

The bad news is that it is only partially true, because as many have been learning the hard way, it is not only the size of the list that counts but the 'quality' of your list! The brutal reality is that while your list may be growing in size, its health - or quality - could be falling even faster, but you might not even know it. Like a silent killer, it can creep up slowly, until one day... your request for a "withdrawal" gets denied!

You see it is e-a-s-y to see and get excited and even brag about the size of your growing list. It's also easy to use the size of your list to attract and get Joint Venture partners. After all, a number is hard coded fact. Two leads are more - and thus better - than one lead. On the other hand, it is h-a-r-d to see or get excited about the subjective quality of a list! I mean, what makes it a 'quality list' anyways? What does 'quality' even look like? Is it directly or indirectly tied to revenue gains? And most importantly, what can you actually DO to add this mystical 'quality' to your list and is it even worth it?
