Earlier this week, you were asked some questions on whether or not you have what it takes to offer a membership site in conjunction with your business. Some of those were hard questions that you need to answer honestly. "Can you handle the extra workload?" "Can you offer discounts for ongoing services?" "Do you have ongoing services?"

But let's talk more about the 'why' of having a membership site.
- Dedicated Customers. Having a member means that they will likely automatically renew each month as long as you are holding up your end of the bargain. Whether you promised products or tools to help them grow their business or maybe educational materials you must continue to cater to the member's needs. You must satisfy their needs.
- Monthly Income. One of the main reasons for having a membership or continuity site is a new steady income stream. Keep them satisfied and you can count on the consistent money flow each month.
-Increase your Brand. You should offer exclusive products and services to members. In doing this you are strengthening your brand. This means you need to have the resources to provide consistent quality to your members each and every month. When that happens, these members will promote your membership site within their network which can net you more customers.
-Expansion of your business. It's ok to start your membership site out with one level until you get the hang of managing it and/or you pick up more customers. Then you will need to consider adding a multiple tier of services to increases monthly profits and opportunities. This is just one more way to attract more customers. It also helps solidify your position in your niche market.
As you contemplate the benefits of starting a membership site or adding more tiers to your existing site, remember to have the customer service in place to handle the new members and keep them satisfied. However, once they are members, you want to keep them happy.
