Hello Friend,

What's the best way to guarantee your monthly income?

Membership sites, which you undoubtedly also know as "continuity."

What this means is that you have an amazing group of people who are already your raving fans, paying you every single month.

But that's not all... With membership sites, you also have the opportunity to really bond with an audience so that when you recommend products and services, members are more likely to sit up and pay attention. And because they have come to trust you, you will make sales.

Though your members are absolutely your BEST asset, and you should treat them with respect and gratitude, having a membership site really is like having your own ATM. As your members learn and grow, you'll have the added benefit of having people you already know to network and joint venture with.

I could talk about this for a long while, but instead... Let's get to the meat of it.

GO STEADY BY CHOOSING CONTINUITY INCOME

StomperNet came to being in October 2006. We used a big idea -- Stomping the Search Engines, which was our core product, added a staff of amazingly brilliant experts, and created a killer presentation. We had $18.3 million in orders in less than 24 hours. And when the doors closed, they did not open again for a very... long... time. We already had an arena of raving fans and people were still banging on the doors to get in.

The money we made totally rocked the party for everyone here! But we really wanted it to be about our members, too. We wanted to create a lifelong relationship with them by providing quality content that they could use in their businesses to rise to the top of the search engines. We showed them how cool it was to get all of the organic search traffic they needed to make the big money themselves, and many of them went on to do just that.

And we wanted to bond with our audience at the Stomper Live conferences, which really helped us to get to know our members. We gave them days with top-notch presenters with cutting-edge information, and it was simply amazing.

Of course, StomperNet as a company built a solid base of income to further build on. Every single month, we knew that we'd have money coming in to make StomperNet bigger and better than ever. And it built our list of people who we could talk to whenever we wanted, whether they were members of StomperNet or not. And almost five years later, many of those people are still on our list.

And believe it or not... It's exactly the same thing you need to get your business stable and growing -- continuity. There's nothing like it.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR MEMBERSHIP SITE

The options of setting up a killer membership site have increased overtime so that you can do it from a simple, low-cost option to a fully functional membership solution set up with built-in SEO features included.

The easiest way to get started follows the email model. You create a basic sales funnel and deliver content to your members via autoresponder. That's probably the simplest model, and since you should already have an autoresponder and hosting account, it's virtually free. Put your membership site into ClickBank and reap the rewards that only affiliates for YOUR product can bring.

The mid-level option is to set up a site with a WordPress and a plugin -- Wishlist Member, which runs just under $100, and has mailing capability, the option of creating different membership levels, and can be fully integrated with most of the popular payment processors and autoresponders. What makes this so amazing is the fact is that it totally integrates with the WordPress, and as we know, the interface is very user-friendly. When you combine Wishlist with some of the new WordPress theme options available, you can have your membership site look and feel any way you'd like.

AMember is another low-price membership site software that you can install on your own hosting account. The installation is more difficult, and for the hike in price and the usability factor considered, although AMember works and works well, if you're relatively new to tech work, Wishlist is most definitely the better option.

But if you really want to create a graphics-rich, SEO-optimized, and shopping cart ready solution, you'll want to look at Membergate. This is a stand-alone site built on cold fusion and the functionality and customization ability is great. This is more for people who are not at all tech friendly and want a done-for-you, out-of-the box solution, and for that reason, it costs a lot more for the initial license -- around $4,000.

OTHER BENEFITS OF CONTINUITY...

We've already touched on why having a membership site is great from a business perspective, but what about the benefits to you, as an individual?

If you set up a hands-free membership site, you can earn passive income. That means you do the work once and let it roll. You'll want to send continual streams of traffic to the site to continue building your member base, of course, but the hard work will be done. You will literally be able to sitting on that white sandy beach, managing your site.

You'll have word-of-mouth traffic coming in, too. When people join your site and find it filled with relevant, helpful content, you've got that "tell-a-friend" mentality going for you. Members will tell their other folks on the Internet. They'll tell people in forums and if you have an affiliate program, promote the continuity site for you. Free traffic is great, but when it comes with a recommendation from someone else, who's already a member... you can take that to the bank.

If you add a free membership level to your site, you'll also be building your list. It's really easy to rack up thousands of members when you're giving something of enormous value to them away. No, they won't all upgrade their memberships immediately, but over time, as you bond with the people in your list, you'll be amazed at how powerful a free or low-cost membership level can be.

HOW TO KEEP MEMBERS

With membership sites, you're also going to want to watch your cancellation rate. You will most definitely want to continue replacing members as old members drop off. But how do you get the members you have to stay when the average length of continuation is only 3 months?

You have to come up with some effective "stick strategies."

One is by giving something really cool away each month, like a bit of software, a special newsletter, or some other item of value to your members. For example, if your membership site is about dog training, giving away "The Super Secret Tips about Training Your Dog Special Report" with some top-notch information not shared inside the member area, you're bound to keep members because they'll want those amazing tips every month. They know they'll be missing those if they don't remain members.

You can also tie members into some service that they can't afford to lose. For example, a video player site is almost certain to retain members because if members stop paying them, all of their videos go down. Sure, they can be replaced with other options, but who wants to go back and create all those players? Maybe people just starting out with only a few videos, but probably not clients with thousands of players on the 'Net -- unless they have an army of player replacement ninjas at their disposal, right? It's easier, and probably more cost effective to just keep the membership.

Forums are also great, if you keep them active. Being part of something online is important to folks working from home, and if you create a really great forum where your members can bond with one another, they'll stay just because they would miss their forum friends otherwise.

People also love great customer service. If you're a one-person show, it's probably easy for you to maintain email relationships with any of your customers who write to you, and you should. These are going to be your best customers, especially if you really help them out. If you're not a one-person show, services like Zen Desk and a great customer support person or staff is critical to your ongoing success. Give people answers quickly and they'll love you forever. It's frustrating out there!

HOW TO START

So, how do you decide what kind of membership site to build?

First, decide how much money you can spend. Then, figure on much of the tech work you want to do yourself and decide, "Do I have more money or more time?"

Then, choose a model. Any of the methods described above will work. The question is, which one will work best for you?

Whatever you decide, having a membership site is bomb! Earn a solid income each and every month and build on it to have the lifestyle you've always wanted. Launch after launch gets tiring, and they don't always come off the way you want them to. And though e-commerce sites are good sources of income, you can't depend on that income to remain stable month after month, unless you're in a niche where people can't live without your products and you have little or no competition.

The bottom line?

Start a membership site that solves problems for people in your niche, and you'll never wonder if it will be a good month or a bad month again... Every month is a good one!

SEO SECRET SAUCE

Membership sites rock the party, and if you haven't been thinking about adding continuity to your business, here are 5 more reasons why you should:

1. Have the solid income you need to be able to take more frequent vacations and work fewer hours.

2. Suffer no enormous outlay of business income to get your continuity program started, unless you want to.

3. Have as many membership sites as you want to have and let them all produce steady income and security. Overtime, you can set up a virtual empire!

4. Maximize your income with a members' "store," where you can advertise your own or affiliate products every single day.

5. Use a membership site to improve sales for your local business. Give people information, discounts, or other incentives to help make you the go-to business for whatever it is you're selling and give yourself a step up on your competition.
