If only it was this easy:
1. Buy a domain name
2. Host the domain
3. Build a quick website
4. People come to your site and buy whatever you offer
5. You make lots of money
The thing is, some people really think it is that easy. Forget about doing some keyword research. Nevermind making sure that the website is user friendly. It doesn't even really matter what the website looks like. Who cares about testing?
The fact of the matter is all these things DO matter (and more) if you want a website that is profitable. If it was as easy as throwing up a simple page with a product and a buy button, everyone would be making money. Instead, there are many people who are frustrated because they think people should just be able to "find me online because I have a cool product/service". And guess what? No one is finding them, and they aren't making any money at all.
