Hello Friend,

Here at StomperNet Headquarters (term used loosely since we all work "virtually" from all across the country but you get the idea) we are a team divided.

Not over politics or religion. Or whether to call our Customer Service people "agents" or "representatives".

No this goes MUCH deeper.

You see, our Web Presence Expert (the fabulous MJ Schrader) did an absolutely amazing job on our homepage with the dark background (click link below to view).

And then to be consistent with the light color of the blog and all our other web pages she spent a couple of days and completely re-coded the page into a light background (click link below to view).

StomperNet Light v Dark

We (myself and MJ) were CERTAIN everyone would love the light background. But we were completely surprised when she brought the light version online and it seemed the two of us were the only people who liked the light version better.

(I personally think they both look good, but to me
the light version is cleaner and easier to read.)

Anyway, the subject came up in our team meeting a couple days ago and it was clear we weren't going to agree.

There were statistics thrown out about how people remember better with a dark background and lighter text. There were opinions voiced. Preferences debated. Someone mentioned the "cool factor" of the dark page. Somebody else mentioned how "friendly" the lighter page looks.

And on and on...

So we decided to table the discussion and put the question to YOU and let
you decide which version we will use as our live homepage: light or dark.

Just click on this link to see BOTH versions and cast your vote.

We'd also love to know the reason WHY you chose your vote. Does dark look cooler? Is light easier to read? Is dark more modern?
