Hello Friend,
We've all had that day, the one where you wonder where it went. Your plan for the day starts with a big agenda, but then you get sabotaged by the minutiae of the day. Days like these are always troubling, but perhaps more so when you run your business. When things don't get done, it is very distressing. That's why the topic this week is "productivity."
After all, you don't want time to manage your life; you want to manage your time. Managing your time not only allows you to be more productive but at the end of the day, you actually know what you have accomplished and are closer to your goals.
Within our company, one rule of productivity is very obvious. Most of us are what you might call early birds. We are ready to start working hard first thing in the morning. However, our web-design person is an evening person... a night owl. She codes the sites and programs after the rest of us have called it a day.
Learn when your best time to work is and when you can best focus. Schedule what needs your closest attention then. You may want to schedule that time to be completely uninterrupted. Use your least productive time to handle small tasks that can be easily handled. Rather than waiting on calls, waiting for meetings, waiting on clients, use the time for quick projects or catching up on reading.
There are many ways you can get more done in your day. And getting more time in your day means you'll be a much more productive and successful.
